Hatch was a project that gives 11-15 year olds their own Spending Account and Savings Account in one application. They learn how to manage their money, and parents get oversight of their account - for peace of mind.
This project was about designing an application journey that has to be done between two people. An adult and the under 18 that wants to open the account. I got some wireframes to start with. This project was an effort of multiple professionals, working closely with Business analysts, copy writers and stakeholders.
We did several iterations on prototypes changing flows, copy and design before getting to an approve ”final” piece.
As this project was primarily an application form, design system components played a big role when designing each screen.
I used a variety of components such as fill forms, switches, ctas, links and others in order to create a smooth form that follows brand guidelines accordingly. While doing so, I got in touch several times with the Design System team for guidance and feedback.
As everything in Lloyds bank group has to be re-skined accordingly to their different brands, swapping component within libraries was useful but sometimes confusing. The brands that we had to work with where Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
In this example I am showing a Halifax product, which was recently rebranded and had a brand new library and design guidelines.
Once all wireframes and the design of one of the brands were approved, then I had to re-skin each component and rebrand them accordingly. In this case, I started with Halifax rebrand guidelines and continue then with Lloyds and Bank of Scotland.
